Entertainment and a little love in my blogosphere: Kirsti

So I have this adorable friend named Kirsti. We became friends back @ BYU-I and then eventually moved away to start our lives, but because of the miracle of blogs, we still keep in touch. She is a way fun bloggie and super creative. Not only does she blog for her family, but she is a creative smarty pants, she runs a etsy shop, runs a swap club, and is launching a new group dedicated to sending smiles with care packages {Which this first one you should totally help with if you feel so inclined. It is pretty close to my heart.} This chica is a Jill of all trades. Anyway... I think I am joining her swaperoo group and her sending smiles group. Anyone willing to join with me? If you do tell Kirsti Shannon sent you.

Clarification

Adoption is a cure to childlessness.

Adoption is not a cure for infertility or sterility.

We love our Addi girl and are so blessed my the miracle of Adoption.

We love our Birth Mother and are in awe of her strength and love for Addilynn.

Adoption is a dream come true for us.

In order to embrace that dream of adopting, we had to let the dream of giving birth to our children go.

While the trade was worth it, there was still a great deal of mourning involved.

Please do not tell me
{Or any other couple who is dealing with infertility}

"OOOH! Now that you have adopted a baby you are going to get pregnant!"

Like I said, we let that one go. About a year ago. And we are at peace with it.

Just thought you should know.

Thank you.

It won't be like this for long.

I am realizing something now.
Something I have been realizing for awhile now,
but it is starting to hit me harder.

My baby is more of a baby now than a newborn.
She is smiling.
She loves to stand and "walk" with Daren.
Daren is teaching her how to hold her bottle.
She is an ace at holding her head up.
She isn't even two months old yet.
{Hubs: Will you quit making her get older already?!?}

Darius Rucker has a song-- Lots actually and they are all quite good.
But a song that is just for us right now.

It won't be like this for long.
Isn't that the truth?
