Adoption is a cure to childlessness.
Adoption is not a cure for infertility or sterility.
We love our Addi girl and are so blessed my the miracle of Adoption.
We love our Birth Mother and are in awe of her strength and love for Addilynn.
Adoption is a dream come true for us.
In order to embrace that dream of adopting, we had to let the dream of giving birth to our children go.
While the trade was worth it, there was still a great deal of mourning involved.
Please do not tell me
{Or any other couple who is dealing with infertility}
"OOOH! Now that you have adopted a baby you are going to get pregnant!"
Like I said, we let that one go. About a year ago. And we are at peace with it.
Just thought you should know.
Thank you.

amen to that.
I saw your adoption story on the IF FSA site and stumbled across this post... THANK YOU! We're in the placement phase of adoption right now (scary, right??) and it's amazing how often I hear that line already...
Congratulations on your success story, by the way. She is beautiful! :-)
This is Ben's mom. I just wanted you to know how happy we are for your family. I understand how special adoption is as I was adopted myself. It's a journey for everyone involved. And only those who've been through it can completely understand it. Your baby girl is absolutely beautiful!!
I completely agree! Glad someone said it!
I get so tired of people telling me we'll get preg now that we adopted!! So glad it's not just me having to hear it! And how do you know the Yoshioka's??
