So my mom & Kirsti like my new blog look and want to know how I changed it. OOOOBER easy. You just will end up playing with it for a few hours like I did because it is so much fun.
Here is how:
- Go to the top of your blog and hit 'design'
- You will see your blog layout- above it look for a new tab called 'template designer'
- Then you are in and you just have to play with it. There are four parts and you really have to mess with it if you want to go from a 2 column to a 3 column. A lot of my pictures / videos were too wide so it took a little bit to make it all fit for now. In a few posts I may tweek it even more so that my side bars actually are a little bigger.
- Templates- Mine is based on 'simple' and I used the blue option. I was reading on Shabby blogs though that if you still want to use a 3rd party code, the best one to use is 'travel' in white. Codes still work the same way with a html box but the new formating from blogger may get in the way. ALSO, I'm not sure how to get old minima back so if you hate your new look- SORRY. Be sure you want a change before you jump in.
- Background- pick a color theme or pick your own in the advanced section. You can also pick a background image here too. Mine came from the patterns section. LOTS of possibilities here.
- Layout- This one is probably most important. In Body you decide if you want a 1,2,3, or 4 column blog. I couldn't really figure out the 4th column thing but 3 works for me so I didn't spend a whole lot of time on it. Then you click on Footer and pick 1,2, or 3 columns for footer. I picked 3 and put a lot of my buttons that I use and want to keep but make things look cluttery in a 2 column blog. THEN go to Adjust width... This part you just have to play with to make things fit. My youtube videos were kinda screwy. Now I have to pick the smallest size possible when I load them. I also went from 10 posts to 3 to make it shorter.
- Advanced- Here you pick fonts and colors for individual components of your blog. You can also add CSS here if you know how. I really don't have a clue about this but I know it is similar to HTML code.
If I can figure it out, you will figure it out faster. Have fun!

When I read the title was your new look, I was hoping to see a new, cute hairstyle! Haha, oh well, you’re hair still looks great, and the blog looks cute!
To revert back to the old templates, go under Design, then Edit HTML, and at the bottom you can revert back to the classic templates. That’s what I did!
